Meet our CEO Dirk Deroo
Dirk Deroo, software engineer and Vlerick graduate, started his professional career as an 'Apple evangelist' for the printing industry. As a driven enhancer, he quickly understood that this sector was struggling with administrative, logistical and commercial management. There was a clear demand for a Business/MIS/ERP software that understands the specific production processes, working methods and challenges of the sector and that evolves with the latest technologies.
Dirk took up the challenge. After 18 months of attic work, he presented the first software version and in 1997, he founded Dataline. For Dirk, as CEO of Dataline, the result and the atmosphere within the team is the most important thing.
He prefers a result-oriented management style that evolves with what is going on in the field. "Failure is certainly not fatal, but success is not final either. We can always strive to do better," says Dirk.
