Doc Innov CEO Lionel Blanchard: "MultiPress's efficiency saved us"

Doc Innov, as a pioneer in reprography, very consciously chose MultiPress to improve their business processes: that choice and the final implementation came at a key moment and proved to have a huge impact on every layer of the print company. Read their experiences with the software that took their visual communication business to the next level.

Pioneering and growth

French print production company Doc Innov was founded in 2004 with a focus on reprography, specifically copying plans for architects. At a time when most people still worked in analogue, they chose to embrace innovative digital technology. They were one of the pioneers in the industry by introducing digital printing on large-format plotters. At the time, they mainly specialised in producing stickers, tarpaulins and outdoor signs.

Over the years, Doc Innov grew to a team of 17 employees and expanded their production sites from 90 m2 at the beginning to a whopping 600 m2. This growth was accompanied by an increasing demand for machinery and personnel.

Implementation of MultiPress ERP

This growth period brought challenges for both the economy and the print media industry. It forced them to restructure their production facilities, which now enables them to provide production support for printing, textiles and large-format communications worldwide.

CEO Lionel Blanchard got to know Dataline through the Green France group to which Doc Innov belongs and realised it was time for a true ERP. Soon, implementing MultiPress became one of their objectives and, in particular, their colleagues in Bordeaux and Bayonne found that Dataline stood out from the other suppliers. Today, after fully implementing the software in their administration and product, MultiPress CEO Blanchard likes it a lot: "It's really the accuracy of calculation, the efficiency of price calculation, the reduction of errors because one cannot forget material in a product with the standards, the main products are already entered. It was complicated at the beginning but I think MultiPress has saved our lives today, precisely because of the integration of price increases and the efficiency of calculations."

Employee Loïc is also thrilled with the efficiency gains MultiPress brings on a daily basis: "I got to know MultiPress when I joined the company and I found a software that is great and has endless possibilities, from business management and orders to invoicing. It is a software that immediately interested me, challenged me and I have been a fan of it since the beginning. I use it daily and frankly, I love it."

"It brought simplicity to the workplace"

The modules Doc Innov uses in MultiPress today are the basic modules that allow them to create price calculations, delivery notes, invoices, orders. It is the only tool that has completely replaced the handwritten sheets they had before.

The MultiPress estimating module brought simplicity to the shop floor: smooth calculations, delegating many more price calculations to employees trained in the software but not necessarily from the printing world. Once they understood the cost production method, they could do the calculation. They have also pre-calculated all the company's standard products which means that with the Calculation Wizard, they just need the dimensions and quantities to be used in a calculation.

Clearly, Doc Innov stands out as a company willing to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs. With their expertise in reprography and digital printing techniques, they have established a solid position in the world of visual communication. And with the help of MultiPress, their work goes so much more smoothly!
