Family printing company Luxor (Nijmegen) moves from Drumis to MultiPress
Printing business Luxor has been a fixture in Nijmegen since 1969. They specialise in business, promotional and family printing, as well as booklets, mailings and sign. For years, Luxor has been a user of Drumis, the MIS software developed by Insad Grafisch. Recently, they too took the decision to switch to Dataline's print business software MultiPress.
Family business in heart and soul
The Maertens family started up print business Luxor as a family business. In the beginning, they focused mainly on family printing of birth cards, wedding cards and bereavement cards. Gradually, they grew into a versatile organisation with an in-house design team. At the turn of the century, their son Stijn Maertens took over to modernise the company and bring it into the 21st century. At that time, they also implemented the MIS software package Drumis.
The switch from Drumis to MultiPress
For a long time, Drumis was considered a high-performance software for print businesses. However, in recent years there were no new developments for Drumis. After Insad's operations shut down, Dataline acquired Insad in 2020. All Drumis users were thereby assured of continued support for their platform and, in addition, Dataline guaranteed a smooth migration from Drumis to the MIS/ERP software MultiPress. Drumis' development platform did not allow for further building on it, which meant that in recent years there were no new developments for Drumis, with the result that it also no longer evolved with all the needs in the graphic sector and in Luxor's print business.
As a result, the software took on an increasingly minor role at Luxor. Stijn Maertens saw the advantage of Drumis' automation capabilities and started looking for a logical alternative, the MIS/ERP software MultiPress.
Visiting MultiPress user GLD Print & Media
After an exploratory meeting with Dataline's experienced Business Developers, owner Stijn Maertens went to see MultiPress user GLD Print & Media from Arnhem. There he could see how they use MultiPress practically and especially how much time and money they save week after week with the software. He was immediately enthusiastic and saw advantages in MultiPress's modular architecture.
MultiPress meets all of Printing Business Luxor's expectations for good MIS/ERP software: a good Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, clear quotation and order administration which, above all, does not take up a lot of time, and price agreements with work shops and suppliers quickly accessible.
With MultiPress, Printing Company Luxor can further consolidate its place in today's competitive graphics market.
