Imprimerie Musch
Imprimerie Musch: The forward-looking printing partner for the pharmaceutical industry
Industrial print business Musch has long been an experienced partner for the specific printing needs of the pharmaceutical, hygiene, cosmetics and medical sectors, as well as for the food and beverage and other industries. The specialised print business from Ath, Belgium, has more than a decade of experience in providing essential print products such as leaflets and self-adhesive labels for all kinds of packaging.
Versatile expert in pharmaceutical printing
Imprimerie Musch serves the pharmaceutical, hygiene, cosmetics and medical sectors by supplying critical printing products. Their full-service services include the layout, printing and processing of leaflets, labels and packaging. This is complemented by the production of brochures, folders, flyers, among others, making them a versatile partner for their customers.
These sectors demand excellent quality of the delivered products and must be able to rely on the reliability and promises of their partner printer. It is therefore logical that Musch is ISO9001-2015 certified. Control procedures, conformity certificates and internal processes are subject to strict ISO regulations and are constantly analysed for possible improvements.
New business software too complex
Imprimerie Musch obviously needs solid print MIS/ERP software to administer all these specialised products. It is therefore logical that they have been a MultiPress user for more than a decade.
Initially, MultiPress use was limited to calculation and quotation management, and many of the software's unique capabilities remained largely untapped.
A few years ago, Imprimerie Musch considered switching to GAMSYS, mainly because of its supposed advantages for label and web printing. However, this decision proved unsuccessful: the system was too complex and the integration of new machines was difficult.
MultiPress provides the breakthrough
Last year, everything gained momentum for Imprimerie Musch. They won a large order from a pharmaceutical company, resulting in a significant increase in production and turnover. To support this growth, the company expanded its production team from 14 to 23 employees, with plans for even further expansion. Imprimerie Musch realised the need for extensive automation and efficiency improvements.
With expanded machinery, including two offset presses, digital and large-format presses, and various finishing machines, the company faced the challenge of still further optimising their production processes. This led to renewed talks with Dataline. By deploying the unique MAS Audit analysis tool, crystal-clear calculations emerged that overwhelmingly showed that significant savings and improvements were possible.
They decided to expand their MultiPress implementation to automate all administrative processes and make them more efficient. This includes planning, production management and the integration of all processes on a single platform.
Anouk Musch, who plays an active role in operations, confirmed the decision to expand the MultiPress configuration. This allowed them to make huge savings on HR costs.
Bright future
Imprimerie Musch has successfully positioned itself as a forward-looking printing partner for the pharmaceutical and related sectors. Their growing success and recent expansion of the production team demonstrate their flexibility and innovation to meet their customers' requirements. The future looks bright for this driven print business!
