Printek
Printek replaces ARKKI software with MultiPress MIS package
Printek is a digital and large-format company based in Keuruu, Finland. Besides their specialisation in book production and other commercial print jobs, Printek also manufactures exhibition and event materials. Their administrative flow to make quotations was becoming too complex and slow. When Dataline took over Loiston's ARKKI software in 2023 and they got to know MultiPress, it was clear they had found the new ERP/MIS software that could also make their administrative flow run more smoothly, especially for sign and large-format orders.
Specialist in book production
Printek, a digital and large-format company from Finland, was founded in 2001. Ever since, this print business has developed into a major player in the Finnish print market. Printek offers a wide range of products, including books, brochures, leaflets, stickers, corporate identity print jobs, banners, sign products and textile printing. In addition, they also have exhibition materials such as modular stands, pop-up and roll-up banners. Production is fully customised and powered by high-quality Xerox printing equipment.
The close-knit team of 9 motivated employees handles both small and large editions with equal dedication and precision. They are known for their high-quality print jobs that meet their customers' expectations time and again. But what really sets Printek apart is their specialisation in book production and publishing. They assist authors from A to Z in publishing their books in limited editions. Whether it is a history book, poetry book, travelogue or novel,... Printek makes sure the story gets the cover it deserves, from soft to hardcover, adhesive binding to wire-o-binding and in various book formats. This unique expertise gives them a special position on the market and reinforces their reputation as a reliable partner for quality graphic solutions.
First ARKKI user to switch to MultiPress
Printek initially used ARKKI software, a solution for calculation, administration and production workflows, financial management and reporting. Although ARKKI is a reliable software, Printek was constantly looking for more powerful solutions to make their administrative processes more efficient. In particular, their large-format printing department needed faster and more sophisticated solutions.
Despite their confidence in ARKKI, Printek felt the need to improve their workflow. Therefore, as a forerunner in the industry and one of the first ARKKI users, they decided to switch to MultiPress. When Dataline acquired ARKKI software, the decision to switch to MultiPress was a logical step. An initial demonstration of MultiPress convinced them of its potential for future growth.
Improved calculation and stock management
Thanks to MultiPress, calculations are now much faster and more accurate, enabling Printek to perform even better. To ensure faster delivery times and higher quality, it is essential to keep an overview. That's why Printek also uses the Inventory Management module and dashboard in MultiPress. This gives them continuous insight into production and allows orders and deliveries to happen on time.
In the near future, Printek will also extend the MultiPress software with the Imposition Engine / Check & Repair module, to drive production from order management even more efficiently. This illustrates their commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Dataline continues European growth
With MultiPress, Dataline has the highest-performing Print MIS/ERP software in Europe. We knew our first successes in Belgium and the Netherlands. Then we built a nice customer portfolio in Finland through one of Finland's largest printing companies: Punamusta. And on top of that, MultiPress continues to gain ground in Finland, thanks to the acquisition of ARKKI software and the efforts of our Nordics distribution partner, NIZE Equipment. Dataline thus takes another strategic step forward!
