Peter Claes Dataline

Dataline is pleased to announce the expansion of its service offerings with the introduction of dedicated Solutions Architect services, led by workflow specialist Peter Claes. In this new role, Peter will help companies across Europe tackle automation and integration challenges, providing expert guidance on everything from Callas profile expansions and optimising incoming PDF quality to handling complex, custom integration projects. This new initiative, combined with Dataline’s existing MultiFlow service, ensures that our customers receive comprehensive, tailored support for their evolving workflow needs.

The Dataline Solutions Architect services

  • MultiFlow automation and workflow design: MultiFlow is a powerful tool within MultiPress that allows companies to design their own workflows using flow charts, automating repetitive tasks and improving efficiency. The Solutions Architect will provide expert guidance on setting up and optimising these workflows. This includes helping businesses automate tasks such as customer feedback and proof validation, as well as handling prepress processes. The Solutions Architect will assist clients in designing workflows that streamline operations, like automatically directing print-ready files to production or processing online webshop orders. By leveraging the Solutions Architect’s expertise, companies can fully automate tasks based on specific rules, ensuring smooth operations and faster turnaround times, reducing manual intervention and errors.
  • Callas profile expansions: As print companies deal with a wide variety of PDF files daily, ensuring that each file meets specific quality standards is critical. The Solutions Architect will help expand and fine-tune Callas profiles for our customers, ensuring that their preflight checks are tailored precisely to their needs. This means setting up or modifying profiles that check for things like colour accuracy, font embedding, resolution, and bleed requirements in PDF files. By expanding these profiles, businesses can automate the quality control process, ensuring that each PDF is print-ready, compliant with industry standards, and error-free.
  • Switch workflow improvements: Switch is a powerful workflow automation platform that connects different software tools and automates repetitive tasks. The Solutions Architect will work closely with customers to improve their Switch workflows, streamlining the entire process from file intake to production. This includes automating tasks such as file sorting, preflighting, colour management, and proofing. By improving Switch workflows, the Solutions Architect will enable companies to increase productivity, reduce human errors, and ensure smoother coordination between various software applications.
  • Optimising incoming PDF quality: Ensuring the quality of incoming PDF files is crucial in any print production process. Often, files arrive with issues like incorrect colour spaces, missing fonts, or low-resolution images, which can lead to delays or costly errors during production. The Solutions Architect will assist customers in setting up systems to optimise the quality of incoming PDFs automatically. This involves using tools like Callas profiles and preflight systems to detect and correct issues before they impact production.
  • Handling complex, custom integration projects: Many companies require bespoke solutions to integrate different software and systems for a seamless production process. These complex, custom integration projects involve connecting MultiPress with other applications such as accounting software, CRM platforms, or specific production tools. The Solutions Architect’s deep knowledge in both digital workflows and integration will enable him to tackle these challenges. His goal is to ensure that all systems communicate effectively, reducing bottlenecks and manual intervention.

About Dataline

Dataline knows what print media companies need to streamline their processes, automate their workflows and increase their profits. Their high-performance MIS/ERP software MultiPress was developed specifically to meet the needs of modern print media companies of all sizes and production technologies.

Dataline was founded in 1997 by CEO Dirk Deroo. His vision was clear: to modernise print production companies with automation, digitisation and process improvement. The administrative process at a print media company consists of several complex steps, often unique to the printing industry. General software that is not specifically developed for the printing industry does not help a print media company at all. To meet this need, Dataline developed MultiPress MIS/ERP software.

Now, with more than 80 employees, a network of certified partners and 5 offices across Europe, this leading innovator in the industry has won the trust of more than 1,000 print media companies. Dataline's team is dedicated to delivering outstanding quality of service and is determined to remain the reference of choice.
