De Reest Multimedia opts for structure with MultiPress

At De Reest Multimedia, they have recently started using MultiPress as a thorough basis for their price calculations. This full-service graphic company now offers many different products in their range such as business and family printing, photo-fun items and even large format prints. Price calculations had therefore become increasingly complex. De Reest was already looking for a software that could help them with this. After a number of detours, the printing company finally ended up at Dataline.

From a collection of individual applications to a fixed structure with MultiPress

De Reest has long been looking for a solution that supports their production in a way that saves time in the different departments of their company. Like many print media companies, they started with a collection of diverse but non-integrated software solutions. They used Precal for order and delivery note capture, Excel for estimating and invoicing and another software for the company's financial administration. This yielded partial efficiency gains in the beginning. After some time, however, they ran into problems again: because the solutions were not linked to each other, they lost a lot of time in administrative follow-up.

To prevent this, De Reest joined forces with Dataline: the extensive calculation possibilities of the Calculation Wizard ensure that their daily activities runs much more smoothly. The Calculation Wizard is based on carefully prepared presets. These allow the order calculator to select the relevant raw materials, printing processes and forms of finishing for the type of printing. With just a few clicks, the order calculator creates a complete cost calculation for all conceivable production techniques, such as prepress, offset, digital print, large format print, finishing and third parties.

 Based on this up-to-date information, the Calculation Wizard makes the price calculation and the quotation. All information about the print orders is also stored digitally and can be consulted at any time during production.

More time for quality customer contact

MultiPress now automatically connects processes at De Reest that previously required manual follow-up. In this way the process from the first to the last step is structured reliably and the De Reest team is no longer faced with unpleasant surprises. In addition, the progress control provides continuous insight into the status of current orders. This means less stress on the work floor. The automatic linking of the sales invoices to the bookkeeping system also results in an enormous gain of time.

The time saved with the MultiPress Calculation Wizard, among other things, can now be used more qualitatively by the De Reest team. As a result there is now more time to do something extra for their 1,000 regular customers.
